Hiking in Big Cottonwood Canyon

Now the weather has cooled down we've decided to go hiking. Jeremy first did a 'trial' hike with Addisen to Moss Ledge to see if she would like it....and SHE LOVED IT. Mostly because she got to play in the water with her shoes on.

So a few days later we all hiked Donut Falls... It was so nice to get out for fresh air & get some excercise!

Our trip to 'The Living Planet Aquarium'

Last Friday I finally got to take Addisen to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. I've been "trying" to take her there all summer but something would always come up. So after being 'cooped' in the house with two kids for 4 weeks, I decided it was time to take a chance and go out by myself....
It was so much fun! Addi LOVED the Aquarium (and Elli slept the entire time ..whoo hoo). She got to touch a snake, sting ray & a star fish! Her favorite were the sting ray. Mine too. There was also a shark tank with HUGE sharks...all different types, and they would swim right up to the glass. Addi thought they were pretty neat. The Aquarium is somewhat small but definitely worth the experience. I also ran into a friend from high school while we were there...her cute boy & Addi had a blast playing together. Thanks Kelly for letting Addi burn off some energy.

Four Wonderful Years!

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on August 8th! Wow, how time flys! So much has happened in four years... two children, two houses, two different jobs and me now being a stay-at-home mom. (If I calculate right, that means I've almost been pregnant two of the four years we've been married... aahhh!!)

I'm so lucky to have Jeremy as my husband. He is such a great provider for our family and a wonderful dad! He is one of my best friends. We have so much in common and are constantly laughing when we are together. We love each other more now than we did the day we met. He took me to my favorite place for dinner, Market Street Grill and we had fabulous king crab legs, great wine and yummy dessert. It's somewhat hard celebrating your anniversary with a newborn... but we seemed to manage. Elli stayed asleep the entire time we were enjoying dinner. whoo hoo!

Introducing Elli Jade Ogden...

Introducing our new addition... Elli Jade.

She was born on July 19th, weighing 7 lbs 1 oz and 2o inches. She came out with lots of black hair... and dark skin. Jeremy was really starting to wonder... :) However, she looks EXACTLY like him, just with darker features.

Addisen has been such a great big sister. She helps me so much with the new baby.

It has been fun (and challenging) having two beautiful little girls... and I'm sure it will just get better.

We are anxious to see if Elli gets Addi's BIG blue eyes.

Addi already wants her little sister to sleep in her bed! I can't wait until Elli gets a bit older...they are going to be best friends, right? :) I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

After MUCH pressure from friends, I've decided to TRY and blog. (I think I might be the ONLY person in the world who doesn't have a blog or know how to blog!!) For this being my 'first' post... be patient with me while I experiment.
